A special community performance
Residents are invited to enjoy a special performance by the West Cheltenham Arts Community Choir at the Springbank Community Group CIC Café on Wednesday 1 July at 11:30am.

A 10-week community choir project
The 10-week community choir project forms part of the wider West Cheltenham Arts Project, led by KAM Performing Arts Academy, a not for profit Community Interest Company (CIC) committed to making arts and culture accessible to everyone. Working in partnership with EveryVoice Choir, the Everyman Theatre and the West Cheltenham Partnership, and with support from the Cheltenham Borough Council Community Pride Fund, the project brings high quality creative opportunities directly into local communities.
Why?
Parts of Springbank and Hesters Way rank among the 10% most deprived neighbourhoods in England, while almost 1 in 5 residents are disabled. The West Cheltenham Arts Choir is helping to break down barriers created by cost, transport and mobility challenges by providing free, accessible arts opportunities close to home.
Based at Springbank Community Resource Centre, the choir welcomes adults of all backgrounds and abilities, creating opportunities to build confidence, make connections and experience the joy of singing together.
What the founder says...
Maria Allebone, Co Founder of KAM Performing Arts Academy CIC and West Cheltenham Arts Project, said:
"We are incredibly proud of what the West Cheltenham Arts Choir has achieved over the past ten weeks. EveryVoice Choir has been fantastic, creating a welcoming space where participants have grown in confidence, made new friendships and discovered a love of singing. This final performance celebrates their achievements and highlights the power of free, accessible arts opportunities to bring communities together."

The performance
The performance will celebrate the achievements of local participants and showcase the positive impact that accessible arts programmes can have on wellbeing, connection and community pride. The event will also be filmed, helping to capture and share the stories, creativity and community spirit of those involved.
Members of the public are warmly invited to attend.
